Regenerative Filtration – the New Defence against Chemical and Biological Weapons | This paper will introduce and update Conference on the advances that have been made in the field of collective protection against Chemical and Biological agents. It will review the engineering design issues that integration of this technology may bring and outlines the fundamental studies to optimise a suitable adsorbent bed which will give protection against the full spectrum of CW agents. There will be discussion on the test methodologies using Internationally accepted simulants and live agent, as well as reviewing the first applications of this new technology. Using a modular design approach, the system can be packaged to deal with various flows and pressures, making it suitable for integration into a number of platforms including Armoured Fighting Vehicles. |
